Creating charts



We can organize data in tables and then create a chart to visualize data. A chart contains information obtained from two different sources:  One source goes into a horizontal axis and the other, to a vertical axis.


The steps to make a chart in Excel as:


     1. Highlight the cells in the table containing data you want to show on your chart.
     2. Click on Insert Tab
     3. From the Charts menu, choose the one that fit your data.
     4. Excel will generate a chart.

Reflection Activity:

  • Name 3 types of charts available in excel, and the use we can give to each one of them.

Steps to delete a series in a chart.

1. Click a bar in the series that you want to delete.
2. Press the Delete button.
