Charts

A chart is a graphical representation of data, in which "the data is represented by symbols, such as bars in a bar chart, lines in a line chart, or slices in a pie chart".

Change chart type

Once you have plotted a chart, you may wish to modify one or more of its components (data labels, axes labels, legend, etc.).

You may also want to enhance the chart by adding a text box and/or arrow. If necessary, you can also modify the way data is represented in a chart by changing the chart type (using the Change Chart Type button on the Type group on the Chart Tools Design tab).

Reflection Activities of the month:
•Which kind of chart would be better to represent the percentage of students age 12?
•Explain the difference between a column chart and a bar chart.
